Ajith Kumar

Ajith Kumar, recipient of the Padma Bhushan, is not only a celebrated actor but also a dedicated motorsports enthusiast. Over the years, he has participated in several national and international racing events, driven by a deep personal passion for the sport.

He began his racing journey in the early 2000s, participating in international racing events like the Formula BMW Asia series (2003) and later, the British Formula 3. Ajith has consistently demonstrated a passion for motorsport alongside his successful acting career.

In 2010, Ajith participated in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, competing with some of the world’s best drivers. He continued to race in select events while balancing his film career, making him one of the few actors to achieve a successful dual career in motorsport. In 2025, Ajith marked his return to professional racing with the launch of Ajith Kumar Racing, competing in the prestigious Michelin 24H Dubai. Despite a setback during practice, his perseverance led to a third-place finish in the 991 category, along with the Spirit of the Race recognition in the GT4 class. He is now preparing to represent the team in the Southern European Porsche Sprint Series in Portugal.
